Voice Notes ("we," "our," or "the app") is developed by MindfulTech. This privacy policy explains how the app handles your data.

The Short Version

Voice Notes does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data to our servers. Your recordings and notes stay on your device.

Data Collection

Voice Notes does not collect any personal information. We do not require an account, email address, or any form of registration to use the app.

Audio and Transcriptions

Voice Notes uses Apple's built-in speech recognition to transcribe your recordings. When an on-device language model is available, transcription happens entirely on your device. For languages where the on-device model has not been downloaded, Apple's secure speech recognition servers are used. No third-party transcription services are involved. We do not store, access, or transmit your audio or transcriptions to any server.

On-Device Processing

Voice Notes uses Apple's built-in Speech framework for transcription and Natural Language framework for summaries and topic detection. Processing happens on your device whenever possible. For languages without a downloaded on-device model, Apple's secure servers handle the transcription.

Third-Party Services

Voice Notes does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not use cookies, pixels, or any form of user tracking.

Subscriptions

Voice Notes Pro subscriptions are managed entirely through Apple's App Store. Payment information is handled by Apple and is never accessible to us. For details on how Apple handles your payment data, please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy.

Data Storage

All app data including recordings, transcriptions, folders, and notes are stored locally on your device. If you delete the app, all data is permanently removed.

Children's Privacy

Voice Notes does not knowingly collect any data from children. Since the app collects no personal data from any user, it is safe for all ages.
