DoomScroll Blocker ("the App") is developed by MindfulTech. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Data We Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers.
The App operates entirely on your device. Specifically:
- Screen Time Data: The App uses Apple's Screen Time APIs (FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, DeviceActivity) to monitor app usage and apply shields. All Screen Time data stays on your device and is managed by iOS. We never see or access this data on our servers.
- App Selections: The apps you choose to block are stored locally on your device using Apple's secure token system. We cannot see which apps you select.
- Usage Statistics: Time saved, session history, and willpower scores are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted externally.
- Subscription Data: Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not process or store any payment information.
2. Third-Party Services
The App does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, advertising, or data collection services. The only third-party service involved is Apple's App Store for subscription management.
3. Screen Time & FamilyControls
The App requires Screen Time authorization to function. This allows the App to:
- Monitor cumulative daily usage of apps you select
- Display shield overlays when usage thresholds are reached
- Apply bedtime blocking during scheduled hours
Apple's Screen Time framework is designed with privacy at its core. Application tokens are opaque identifiers — the App cannot determine app names, bundle IDs, or any identifying information about the apps you block.
4. Data Storage
All data is stored locally on your device using:
